BUSINESS REGULATION

About the general terms and conditions of the contracts concerning the passenger water
transport activities organized by Orient Eventive Ltd

1.) Scope of the Regulation
The Orient Eventive Trading and Service Provider Limited Liability Company (hereinafter:
Orient Eventive Ltd., registered office: H-1048, Budapest, Intarzia str.3. III/7, company
registration number: 01-09-181600) is organizing passenger transports and excursions by
boats, to which the Act V. of 2013 on Civil Code („C.civ”), the Act XLII. of 2000 on Water
Transport, the Act CVL. of 1997 on Consumer Protection, the Government Decree
261/2008.(3.XI.) on the conditions for water passenger transport („WPC”), and the provisions
of this Business Regulation shall apply. This Business Regulation details the terms of the
agreement concluded between Orient Eventive Kft. and all its passengers who are in a
contractual relationship with it.

2.) Establishment of a legal relationship
Passenger transport contract and legal relationship is established when the customer
 purchased the ticket (either in person or online), or
 the passenger transport was ordered in writing and Orient Eventive Ltd. confirmed the
order.
If the passenger does not act in person, but an authorized person orders the passenger
transport and other related services (eg event, dinner, etc.) on behalf of the passenger (s),
then Orient Eventive Ltd. does not investigate whether the authorized person legally
represents the passengers. Once the order has been occured, the customer becomes
contractual partner of Orient Eventive Ltd.

3.) Obligations of Orient Eventive Ltd.
Orient Eventive Ltd. is obliged to deliver the present persons who are possessing the
confirmation / participation ticket in the booked date and on boat trip type, if
 the name on the ticket is correct, and the reservation has not been canceled or
modified;
 the carriage of passengers is not prohibited by law or regulation;
 passenger transport is possible with the available boat
 the passenger transport is not hindered by a circumstance that can be blamed on the
passenger, or which Orient Eventive Ltd. cannot avoid, or the elimination of which
does not depend on it (force majeure).
Orient Eventive Ltd. informs the passengers directly about the obstacle or the imposed official
restriction at the pier, on its website, as well as on the available individual contact details
(telephone number, e-mail address). After the publication of this, it can cancel the departure,
allow the use of valid tickets rebooking them when the circumstance expires that makes the
trip impossible. If the rebooking is not suitable for the passengers, the participation fee paid
must be refunded.
If a reason occures during the carriage of passengers, why the carriage of passengers cannot
be completed, the boat shall return to pier prematurely. If this reason is force majeure, the
excursion shall be deemed to have been completed, the passenger may not reclaim the
participation fee. If the service was not fully performed due to a reason attributable to Orient
Eventive Ltd., the passenger may request a refund of the participation fee in proportion to the
unused service.
In the above cases, the participation fee will be refunded by transfer to a bank account or
debit card and not in cash. Orient Eventive Ltd. has 8 working days to fulfill this.
In case of using a substitute vessel, Orient Eventive Ltd. does not charge a surcharge, but does
not pay a refund neither.
Cases of force majeure particularly:
 shipping ban
 accident of another vessel
 collision with another vessel due to its failure;
 official action
 bomb or ammunition clearance, mine risk
 extreme weather
 strike
 low water level
 dangerous drift
 pier lock
 quarantine, epidemic
 obstruction attributable for another passenger
 crime act
 terror attack
 malaise of vessel crew
 sudden illness of a passenger
 military operations and exercises
 war, acts of war
 bridge or hydraulic works
 channel or sluice failure
 water leakage into the hull due to external conditions
 fire
 other unavoidable external cause.
Due to a travel obstacle, no further claim can be enforced against Orient Eventive Ltd. beyond
what is described in the previous paragraphs.

4.) Obligations of the passenger
 At the pier, passengers and their escorts may only enter the area which is open for
them; the boundary of the area is indicated by an inscription at the pier’s entrance.
Passengers may enter the closed operating area only with the permission of the
representatives of Orient Eventive Ltd. (eg. during embarkation), no person excluded
from the carriage of passengers shall be allowed to enter the pier area and no items
excluded from the carriage of passengers may be brought in.
 Passengers on board may only enter the area which is open for them. For an escort
without a confirmation / participation ticket boarding the boat is prohibited (except
for the escort of the disabled person).
 It is forbidden to disturb other passengers and the work of the pier and the boat’s crew
at the pier area and on the boat, as well as to smoke outside the designated area.
Smoking is prohibited in the enclosed passenger cabin or other enclosed spaces (eg
toilets).
 The passenger is obliged to keep the confirmation / participation ticket for the entire
duration of the trip and to present it to the ticket control representatives of Orient
Eventive Ltd. – together with the ID which proves the legitimacy of the discounted
ticket. Orient Eventive Ltd. is obliged to fulfill its passenger transport obligation only if
the passenger presents a valid confirmation / participation ticket.
 It is forbidden to contaminate, infect or damage the pier, the boat or their equipment.
Whoever does this is obliged to pay the full cost of cleaning and disinfection and to
compensate for the damage caused.
 Passengers are obliged to follow all law enforcement and safety instructions of the
crew after boarding the boat. In the event of a shipping incident or accident, the
passenger is also required to follow the instructions of the boat’s crew.
 The passenger is obliged to comply with the laws applicable to travel at all times, as
well as the laws of Hungary. Damages and costs resulting from failure to do so shall be
borne by the passenger.
 Passengers may occupy their seats in the order how they board the boat.
 Passengers can only take part in the excursion in healthy condition, but with signs of
coronavirus infection: in case of illness with fever or cough, the passenger can be
excluded from the trip. The crew measures the body temperature of the boarding
passengers with a forehead thermometer, which the passengers are obliged to accept,
the refusal of the measure will result disqualification from the trip. The passenger can
only take part in the trip in case of body temperature is below 37 degrees. Hungary’s
epidemiological regulations may require the wearing of a mask to cover the nose and
mouth in enclosed spaces or communities. In this case, passengers who do not wear
the mask or do not wear it properly may also be excluded from the trip. Passengers
excluded in this way may not claim a refund of their participation fee.
 Passengers are required to show up at the time and pier indicated on the ticket. If the
passenger does not fulfill his / her obligation to appear within the deadline, the
passenger transport obligation of Orient Eventive Ltd. only exists if it does not
endanger the fulfillment of the obligations of Orient Eventive Ltd., eg. the scheduled
departure of the boat.
Orient Eventive Ltd. shall not be liable for damages resulting from the failure or non-fulfillment
of any of the conditions listed above.

5.) Travel restrictions
Not allowed to travel on the boat or will be excluded from the trip:
 a person who is drunk, intoxicated or affected by a mind-altering substance
 who behaves scandalously or otherwise disturbs other passengers by his/her behavior;
 who is an infectious patient
 patient having fever (with a body temperature above 37 degrees);
 a passenger who does not wear a mask or does not wear it properly (if required by
current epidemiological laws);
 whose conduct violates or endangers the safety of traffic, the physical integrity of
him/herself or other passengers, the integrity of the vessel or its equipment
 who does not comply with other provisions concerning the conduct of passengers
 who travels with an invalid ticket or confirmation and does not pay for it on boarding;
does not present his / her ID which proves the legitimacy of the discounted ticket upon
request;
 who may contaminate the vessel, passengers’ clothing or passengers’ luggage with
their clothing, luggage or otherwise;
 who is not in an expected good state of hygiene
 who carries an object that cannot be carried on the watercraft as hand luggage (see
point 10);
 who wants to bring a live animal onto the craft (exception see point 11)
 who is helpless state; disabled person, child under the age of 14 without adult escort;
 who carries or possesses a weapon, an explosive or an object that looks like it, such
objects: a bomb, a firearm, a knife, other stabbing and cutting devices, a martial arts
device, a device or material capable of causing damage to the physical integrity of
others.
Comments on this:
 The crew is entitled to disembark the passenger at the nearest pier after the start of
the excursion if the above reasons exist.
 Unaccompanied persons’s boarding of a vessel is considered to be a statement of the
passenger is over 14 years old, and Orient Eventive Ltd. is not obliged to examine it;
 Orient Eventive Ltd. transports passengers who have fallen ill, suffered an accident or
died on the way to the nearest pier where the patient can receive the necessary
medical care or where the deceased is taken over by the authority. Passengers are
obliged to tolerate the related official measure, compensation for the missed service
is at the discretion of Orient Eventive Ltd., but it cannot be obliged to do so.
 A passenger disembarked from a vessel due to his or her abnormal conduct may not
reclaim the participation fee or other charge paid and may request the delivery of his
/ her luggage only at the pier of departure if it is not possible to deliver it during his
stay on board.
 Orient Eventive Ltd. may refuse the carriage of passengers if the number of passengers
boarded the vessel has reached the permitted number of passengers.

6.) Departure, schedule, travel time
The boats are departing from the 6th and 7th piers of Budapest, 13th district, Carl Lutz quay
at the time indicated on the ticket. Orient Eventive Ltd. reserves the right to change the
departure place and time of the boats, but will do its utmost to inform the passengers having
reservation about the pier or time change (by e-mail or telephone). As a result of such an
amendment, the passenger may not make any claim. The boats provided by Orient Eventive
Ltd. operate according to the schedule published on the website. Until the end of the trip, the
boats will not stop anywhere as scheduled. Orient Eventive Ltd. is only responsible for the late
departure / return of boats if the delay can be attributed to the reprehensible behavior of
Orient Eventive Ltd.

7.) Fares, fees, baggage rules, passengers with special needs
The current passenger transport tariffs published by Orient Eventive Ltd., published on the
website, are valid as the participation fee. Port dues shall be paid in cash on board.
Participation fees include the following services:
 fare
 passenger accident insurance based on boats’ liability insurance
 fare for 1 piece of hand luggage with a maximum size of 56x45x25 cm and a weight of
12 kg per person.
For boat trips, each passenger may bring on board a maximum of one piece of hand luggage
not exceeding 56x45x25 cm, 12 kg weight, provided that it does not obstruct boarding and
disembarking and traffic within the boat. Exceptions to the size limit:
 a wheelchair for a person with reduced mobility
 folding pram
 umbrella
 crutch, walking stick
 roller, segway, hoverboard
Bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, other vehicles are not allowed.
Special luggage requirements must be indicated at the time of booking. It must be taken into
consideration that piers and boats are not accessible! Persons with reduced mobility must be
seated safely in order to protect other passengers and their own health and safety. The
excursion can begin when the device fits in the space provided for them. Items which cause
an accident, damage or pollution, items listed in point 5 and the carriage of which is prohibited
by law or regulation shall not be carried.
The guarding of hand luggage is the responsibility of the passenger, Orient Eventive Ltd. is not
responsible for its loss, disappearance, theft or damage for any reason.

8.) Booking
Tickets can be purchased online at www.budapestihajokirandulas.hu and
www.budapestboatexcursion.com. Purchases initiated in HUF in Hungary can be paid by bank
transfer or by credit card on the website www.budapestihajokirandulas.hu, while purchases
initiated from abroad can only be paid by credit card at www.budapestboatexcursion.com.
During the booking, in addition to the date of the desired type of boat trip, the customer must
provide his name, address, billing address (in the case of a corporate customer, tax number),
mobile number and e-mail address, as well as passenger number, name, date of birth,
citizenship, mobile number and e-mail address. (Of course, the customer and the passenger
can be the same person.) During the process it is possible to use a coupon-voucher discount,
or special information can be given as a comment (eg. the passenger is disabled, has a
wheelchair, pram, in case of dinner special food needs such as allergy, diet, sensitivity , special
wishes due to religion or lifestyle). It is important to note that Orient Eventive Ltd. cannot
provide halaal or kosher food. The booking process is as follows:
a, In case of bank transfer
Orient Eventive Ltd. confirms the received booking request within 24 hours or sends the
payment notification with the bank account details to which the amount of the reservation
must be transferred until the specified deadline. The deadline depends on the type of trip
booked and the proximity of the date. Upon receipt of the transfer, ticket and invoice will be
sent out. Having the ticket the passengers are allowed to use the trip.
b, In case of credit card payment
During the booking, the amount of the booking must be paid, after that Orient Eventive Ltd.
will send the ticket and the invoice within 24 hours. Having the ticket the passengers are
allowed to use the trip.
Notices:
 Orient Eventive Ltd. reserves the right to refuse the excursion even in case of a paid
reservation (eg in the absence of a minimum number of employees) and is obliged to
notify the passengers at least by e-mail or, if necessary, at other available contact
details. In such a case, Orient Eventive Ltd. provides a free rebooking to any of the
guaranteed departures of similar excursion. If none of the alternatives are suitable for
the passenger, the amount paid will be refunded in full to the bank account number /
credit card from which the payment was received.
 In the absence of confirmation, no contract will be concluded between the parties.
 The passenger can only board the boat if he / she has a valid and paid reservation (with
confirmation / ticket).
9.) Travel discounts
 The participation of children under 3 years of age in scheduled boat trips organized by
Orient Eventive Ltd. is free of charge; children between 3 and 12 years of age receive
a 10% discount from the normal participation fee. There are no additional discounts
over 12 years.
 Orient Eventive Ltd. reserves the right to announce a special offer for certain
departures on certain excursions. Such promotions do not apply retrospectively to
passengers who have previously paid the full amount.
 Coupon and voucher discounts are available on the website. Orient Eventive Ltd.
occasionally advertises a coupon promotion in which the discount on the coupon is
automatically deducted from the total amount of the booking when the customer
enter the published coupon code. Orient Eventive Ltd. may limit the number of valid
coupons and the total discount value that can be used. It is also possible to purchase a
gift voucher with a unique value, which is taken into account when booking a boat trip
of the customer’s choice (the serial number of the voucher must be entered in the
coupon code field).

10.) Transport of live animals
Live animals must not be transported for hygiene reasons. Exceptions: a guide dog leading
blind or disabled person, a police or rescue dog led on a leash, wearing a muzzle. They are free
of charge.

11.) Booking modification, cancellation policy
A, Cancellation by the customer / passenger
a, In case of an hour-long boat trip without meals:
 From the reservation to 72 hours before departure: the reservation can be canceled
or modified free of charge;
 72-24 hours before departure cancellation or amendment: 20% cancellation fee is
payable
 24-0 hours before departure for cancellation, amendment or in case of no-show: the
cancellation fee is 100% of the booking amount.
 In case of a passenger name change, Orient Eventive Kft. does not charge a
supplement, but the change must be made in writing and confirmed before departure.
 In case of cancellation by a foreign customer, the bank costs of the refund will be
deducted from the refunded amount.
b, In case of a two-hour boat trip with meal:
 From the reservation until the 7th day before the trip: the reservation can be canceled
or modified free of charge;
 7-3 days before departure if canceled or modified: 20% cancellation fee will be charged
 72-0 hours before departure for cancellation, amendment or in case of no-show: the
cancellation fee is 100% of the booking amount.
 In case of a passenger name change, Orient Eventive Kft. does not charge a
supplement, but the change must be made in writing and confirmed before departure.
 In case of cancellation by a foreign customer, the bank costs of the refund will be
deducted from the refunded amount.
c, In case of an event boat trip:
 The cancellation-modification conditions are unique and will be indicated in the
description of the given event.
The date and time of submission of the modification or cancellation is the date when it is
received in writing by Orient Eventive Kft. If the amendment or the cancellation is not brought
to the attention of Orient Eventive Kft. due to the fault of the internet service providers or email
servers, the modification / cancellation did not take place. That’s why in such a case, it is
advisable for the customer to indicate his / her request for modification / cancellation by
telephone, if he / she does not receive any written feedback.
B, Modification, cancellation by Orient Eventive Ltd.
a, In case of an hour-long boat trip without meals or a two-hour boat trip with meal:
Orient Eventive Ltd. is entitled to cancel the excursion 24 hours before departure and is
obliged to notify the passengers at least by e-mail or, if necessary, at other available contact
details. In such a case, Orient Eventive Ltd. provides a free transfer to any of the similar types
of excursions that are guaranteed to start. If none of the alternatives are suitable for the
passenger, the amount paid will be refunded in full to the bank account number / card from
which the payment was received.
b, In case of an event boat trip:
 The cancellation-modification conditions are unique and will be indicated in the
description of the given event.
Orient Eventive Ltd. is entitled to change the place of departure and is obliged to notify the
passengers at least by e-mail or, if necessary, at other available contact details. Passengers or
the customer are not entitled to any compensation.
The travel right acquired by purchasing a participation ticket may be limited by the availability
of available seats on the boat you wish to use. Coupon / discounted tickets and vouchers
cannot be canceled or modified!
Orient Eventive Ltd. is entitled to change the prices published on the website at any time. The
price of tickets already purchased will not be affected by the change.

12.) Charter boat rentals
a, Booking of charter boats:
 In case of renting charter boats, Orient Eventive Ltd. applies a special, favorable tariff.
Catering services can only be used through Orient Eventive Ltd.
 If the customer’s group arrives at the pier with a delay, the boat will wait for it at the
pier during the booked period, but only if the delay has been announced in advance
by telephone. In this case, the boat will be available for a period reduced by the delay,
the excursion will end at the end of the originally booked time. Due to the this way
shortened trip, the customer cannot claim any compensation. Orient Eventive Ltd. may
replace the time lost due to the delay at its own discretion, but it is not obliged to do
so. If the delay is significant and has not been predicted by telephone, Orient Eventive
Ltd.. is entitled to use the seized vessel for other business purposes. In this case, the
customer cannot claim any compensation.
 A request for a quote for a charter boat rental is possible on the website or sending an
e-mail by providing the following information: name of the customer / group; number
of passengers, citizenship; type of boat trip; date and time of travel; naming other
service needs. Orient Eventive Ltd. sends the quote within 72 hours.
 If the customer of the special vessel uses another pier not used by Orient Eventive Ltd.,
the relevant fees will be charged separately. Orient Eventive Ltd. provides separate
information on these fees. Downtime fees (when the boat is at customer’s disposal,
eg. waiting for the group) are the subject of a separate quote.
b, Cancellation and modification of charter boat reservations:
 Modification or cancellation conditions of the charter boat rentals are detailed in the
price offer or confirmation of Orient Eventive Ltd.
 The date and time of submission of the modification or cancellation is the date when
it is received in writing by Orient Eventive Ltd. If the amendment or the cancellation is
not brought to the attention of Orient Eventive Ltd. due to the fault of the internet
service providers or e-mail servers, the modification / cancellation did not take place.
That’s why in such a case, it is advisable for the customer to indicate his / her request
for modification / cancellation by telephone, if he / she does not receive any written
feedback.
 In case of cancellation by a foreign customer, the bank costs of the refund will be
deducted from the refunded amount.

13.) Catering, sales
Buffet or other catering services can only be ordered or used through Orient Eventive Ltd. or
in the drink bar of the boat. It is forbidden to bring drinks, food and meal to the ship!

14.) Advertising, marketing material placement
The external and internal surfaces of the boats for advertising media (also in the case of special
excursions) are exclusively available to Orient Eventive Ltd. Advertising of a service or product
which is independent of Orient Eventive Ltd., placement of roll-up, tarpaulin, poster, other
advertising media is possible with prior permission. Deviations from this can only be made by
separate written agreement. Photographing and filming on the boat is only allowed for own
purposes, any kind of official photography or shooting is possible only with the prior
permission of Orient Eventive Ltd.

15.) Ticket control, penalty
The passenger must have a valid participation ticket at the start of the excursion or an identity
document proving entitlement to the discount. The passenger must keep his/her ticket with
him/her throughout the excursion and present it to the crew for control. If it is necessary to
determine the lawful use of the travel discount, the passenger must prove his / her identity.
The passenger who
 does not have a valid ticket
 did not buy a ticket for the right type of excursion;
 takes advantage of a travel discount illegally
must pay the full participation fee and an additional fee on site. The representative of Orient
Eventive Ltd. will draw up a report in case of violation of the travel conditions. The passenger,
who has to pay a surcharge, is obliged to prove his identity and address. If the identification is
refused, the crew may request police action or exclude the passenger from the excursion.
The amount of the surcharge is twice the participation fee. If the surcharge is not paid on the
spot and the passenger does not pay it by bank transfer within 8 days of the surcharge being
charged, Orient Eventive Ltd. will take steps to collect the claim by legal means. All costs of
these actions must be beared by the passenger.

16.) Responsibility
Orient Eventive Ltd. is liable for damages incurred during the passenger transport legal
relationship in accordance with the provisions of these Business Rules. As a legal act, the Civil
Code rules for commitment shall apply. The liability of Orient Eventive Ltd. is up to a maximum
of 150% of the participation fee. If the passenger transport is affected or frustrated by the
force majeure circumstances specified in these Business Rules or not indicated therein, but
qualifying as such, Orient Eventive Ltd. is not liable for the boat cancellation caused by these
reasons or for the incorrect performance of the passenger transport contract. Orient Eventive
Ltd. is not liable for fragile or perishable goods in passengers’ luggage or for damage caused
by them, as well as for damages resulting from improper packaging.

17.) Complaints, rules for reporting and handling of complaints
The passenger is obliged to report the complaint or notification arising from the passenger
transport relationship immediately, but not later than within 48 hours from the occurrence of
the circumstance giving rise to the complaint, in order that Orient Eventive Ltd. could make
the necessary measures and fully clarify the facts. This is a term of preclusion definitely. The
passenger is responsible for the damage resulting from the delay in the communication.
a, Oral complaint
Oral complaints can be made to the boat’s crew or during opening hours (weekdays from 9
am to 4 pm) in the office located at Carl Lutz quay , pier nr.7 in Budapest, district 13. The oral
complaint must be investigated immediately by the boat’s crew and Orient Eventive Ltd. and
remedied as necessary. If the passenger does not agree with the handling of the complaint, or
it is not possible to investigate the complaint immediately, Orient Eventive Ltd. is obliged to
draw up a report about the complaint immediately and give a copy to the passenger on the
spot. Making report is only for the purpose of recording the complaint and does not mean in
itself that the complaint is legitimate.
b, Written complaint
It is possible to submit a complaint in writing in the following ways, together with a copy of
the participation ticket and all other documents generated:
 by post: Orient Eventive Ltd, H-1137, Budapest, Carl Lutz quay, pier 7
 by e-mail: ertekesites@orienttravel.hu
 in the customer book on the boat or at the pier
 completing a report on board of the vessel.
Orient Eventive Ltd. will provide a reasoned response to the written complaint within 30 days.
In its reply letter closing the complaint handling, Orient Eventive Ltd. informs the passenger
about the legal remedies and the contact details of the consumer protection authority and
the conciliatory committee.
If the passenger’s complaint is rejected, he/she can turn to a conciliatiory committee. The
conciliatiory committee is an independent committee operating alongside the county (capital)
chambers of commerce and industry. The conciliatiory committee of the passenger’s place of
residence or stay shall be competent for the proceedings. The condition for initiating the
conciliatiory committee’s proceedings is that the passenger directly seeks to resolve the
dispute with the company concerned. The passenger may initiate the procedure by submitting
a written request to the chair of the conciliatiory committee. The Conciliatiory Committee is
responsible for resolving consumer disputes out of court.
Following the cessation of the National Consumer Protection Authority, the first-instance
authority function will appear in 197 districts, so from January 1, 2017, passengers can turn to
the territorially competent district offices with their complaints (jarasinfo.gov.hu)

18.) Subcontractors
Orient Eventive Kft. carries out its activities with participation of subcontractors. If Orient
Eventive Ltd. hands over the passenger transport undertaken by itself to another contractor,
the terms and conditions of these Business Rules and the individual contract shall also apply.

19.) Desuetude
All claims against Orient Eventive Ltd. arising from the passenger transport contract – if these
Business Rules do not stipulate a shorter deadline – expire after 6 months at the latest.

20.) Law and litigation
Hungarian law shall apply to the settlement of disputes. In order to resolve any dispute arising
in connection with an agreement, contract or violation, termination, or validity or
interpretation entered into under these Terms and Conditions, the parties shall submit to the
decisions of the court having jurisdiction over the registered office of the company. The terms
and conditions of the individual contract concluded with the customer of the charter boat take
precedence over these Business Rules.

21.) Publication of Business Rules
Orient Eventive Ltd. publishes the current Business Rules in full on its website (contact:
www.budapestihajokirandulas.hu and www.budapestboatexcursion.com), which can be
downloaded free of charge. The Business Rules published on the website contain the text in
force, as amended.
